I started loving the kitchen since childhood, the main reason being my grandmother, the most perfect cook, thanks to her I decided that I want to follow the same path, entering a high school with a public catering profile.
After graduating from high school and taking a cooking course beforehand, I decided to work in a restaurant to see what this job really means. Within 3 years, I went through all the departments, as a result I was promoted as Sous Chef as after a year to fulfill a dream that I didn’t think would come true so early, that of becoming a Head Chef at the age of 22, then until now I am in a continuous search for new skills and knowledge!”

The Assignment

8 Young talented chefs affiliated with Euro-Toques International restaurants are nominated by the presidents International as finalists to participate in this competition. They will demonstrate a signature dish (1x for each member of the jury), telling about Euro-Toques worthy products, preparation and cooking techniques. The dishes are traditionally prepared using preferably local quality products according to the seasons. Sustainability is of paramount importance: no waste!

PALUX, Kitchens with Vision

The PALUX Innovation Award was created to honour the young talented chefs within Euro-Toques Netherlands. This year, we are going International: after all, Euro-Toques Netherlands is affiliated to the European Euro-Toques International. The chefs can convince the public of their talents with a cooking demonstration and thus get the attention they deserve. For the winner, PALUX will make available a salamander of no less than E.4000.00.

Euro-Toques Netherlands & International

Euro-Toques Nederland is an association of restaurants and affiliated ( educational) institutions that advocate healthy, traditionally prepared food with natural, good quality products. Euro-Toques Netherlands is a member of Euro-Toques International ( founded in 1986 by Paul Bocuse*** and Pierre Romeyer***) and is the only restaurant organisation in the Netherlands to have a seat in the European Food Forum. The members stand for diversity of products that taste varied and preservation of culinary traditions.To limit environmentally harmful food miles, they like to work with seasonal and regional products. In doing so, they also support local producers. The member restaurants are against food waste, use energy sustainably and stand for corporate social responsibility. For consumers, the honest cuisine of Euro-Toques members is a guarantee of quality!
